Moderately disturbed forest on steeply hilly terrain, mostly
east-facing slopes.
Tree 25 m x 210 cm diam (above buttresses), trunk angular,
bifurcating at 8 m, with thick plank buttresses 3 m tall, outer
bark gray, thick, scalloped, with sparse raised lenticels, shed
in large thick irregular plates,# sparsely but deeply fissured;
inner bark reddish tan. Resin clear. Staminate
inflorescences with few flowers open, calyx pale green,
corolla and interior of flowers pale yellow. Petaljat anthesis
spreading. On steep slope. Occasional.
