Commune Ambodirina, Réserve Intégrale Naturelle Betampona. 17°54'16"S, 49°12T4"E 400-600 m. Primary moist forest on sharply undulating terrain. Discontinuous canopy ca. 20 m tall, high density of lianas, low epiphyte load, herb layer of variable density. Sandy clay soil. 27.37cm diam x 1 lm tall. Relative tree height: Canopy tree. Trail in reserve: PPR-PSK. Relative light: low. Gradient of slope, degrees: 18. Direction of crest, degrees: 272.
