Forest on steep terrain exposed to supra-annual cyclones,
high density of lianas and poles, open canopy with
emergents to 30 m tall.
Tree 25 m x 30 cm diam, no buttresses. Outer bark gray,
finely fissued, with occasional eruptions, thin, shed in small
plates. Inner bark light orange. Leaves with up to 5 pairs of
leaflets. Calyx pale green, corolla (in bud) white tinged with
red, disk yellow, stamens white. Common.
