The New York Botanical Garden Burseraceae Canarium Madagascar. Tamatave. Commune Ambodirina, Réserve Intégrale Naturelle Betampona. 17°54'50"S, 49°12'18"E 400-600 m. Primary moist forest on sharply undulating terrain. Discontinuous canopy ca. 20 m tall, high density of lianas, low epiphyte load, herb layer of variable density. Sandy clay soil. 32.15cm diam. Relative tree height: Emergent. Trail in reserve: PS. Relative light: High. Gradient of slope, degrees: 11. Direction of crest, degrees: 125.
