Primary moist forest on sharply undulating terrain.
Discontinuous canopy ca. 20 m tall, high density of lianas,
low epiphyte load, herb layer of variable density. Sandy
clay soil.
Tree 14.3 cm diam x 7.5 m tall. Relative tree height:
Canopy tree. Trail in reserve: PP. Relative light: High.
Gradient of slope, degrees: 18. Direction of crest, degrees:
182. Evidence of Aye-Aye seed predation.
Use: Resin used for caulking pirogues (canoes) and for
illumination, also burned in tromba ceremony.
