The New York Botanical Garden Burseraceae Canarium Madagascar. Tamatave. Commune Ambodirina, Réserve Intégrale Naturelle Betampona. 17°55'15"S, 49°12'0"E 400-600 m. Primary moist forest on sharply undulating terrain. Discontinuous canopy ca. 20 m tall, high density of lianas, low epiphyte load, herb layer of variable density. Sandy clay soil. 26.42cm diam x 16.68m tall. Relative tree height: Understory tree. Trail in reserve: PP. Relative light: Medium. Gradient of slope, degrees: 12. Direction of crest, degrees: 228.
