The New York Botanical Garden Burseraceae Canarium Madagascar. Tamatave. Commune Ambodirina, Réserve Intégrale Naturelle Betampona. 17°54'13"S, 49°13'9"E 400-600 m. Primary moist forest on sharply undulating terrain. Discontinuous canopy ca. 20 m tall, high density of lianas, low epiphyte load, herb layer of variable density. Sandy clay soil. 30.56cm diam x 8.58m tall. Relative tree height: Canopy tree. Trail in reserve: PP. Relative light: Medium. Gradient of slope, degrees: 25. Direction of crest, degrees: 176.
