Forest on steep slopes with rock outcrops, moderate presence
of palms and lianas, trees in all diameter classes, relatively
closed canopy ca. 25 m tall.
Sterile tree 12 m x 10 cm, outer bark gray, densely fissured,
thin, shed in short rectangular plates; inner bark orange-tan.
Pseudostipules 7-10 mm long, orbicular and substipitate.
