Canarium bullatum (Leenh.) ined. The New York Botanical Garden Missouri Botanical Garden Plants of Madagascar Burseraceae Madagascar. Tamatave. Commune Ambanjana, Parc National Masoala. 15°37'58"S, 49°58'22"E 50-200 m. Moderately disturbed forest on steeply hilly terrain, mostly east-facing slopes. Tree 25 m x 35 cm diam, with low buttresses, to 40 cm high, extending 50 cm from base. Outer bark gray, fissured only at base, with dense raised lenticels, hoop marks present, near base shed in short thin irregular plates 10-20 cm long. Flowers with calyx ferrugineous-pubescent, green, petals pale yellow, spreading.
