SW facing 30-60° slope.
Subtropical evergreen broadleaf forest.
Disturbed by clearing.
Forest dominated by Lithocarpus, Cyclobalanopsis, and
Abies.
Tree 10-12 m tall. Young fruit green.. Occasional.
Growing on moist forested slope.
In loam on granite.
