    quite common in jungles of the big tree swamps near Baletestems climbing by loops, 3/4 inch thick, soft, brown.

  • Description

    stems climbing by loops, 3/4 inch thick, soft, brown, roughened by some tubercles or lenticels; leaves greatly varying in size, membranous, darker green above; inflorescence in the uppermost leaf axils; the flowers greenish with purplish streaks except the lateral petals which are entirely purple; pods somewhat fleshy, subterete. This is the worst of the ant homes of any legume I ever met.
