Description
Prostrately spreading perennial herbs in half sandy soil near the sea coast: stem long, branched all along, flexible, terete, green, 1/3 inch thick: leaves horizontal or ascending, membranous, only slightly curved upon the upper more or less blotched green surface, canescent beneath; inflorescent erect, the bracts and calyx greenish, corollas purplish pink, odorless: pods thin, flattened and constricted, deflexed, forming dense mats.
