Humus of topsoil up to 20cm deep. Avg.of 1500mm/y rain. Small tree, hairs on young twigs, 20m tall. Round, crooked bole. Bark brittle, smooth, gray. Slash orange-purple, darkens. Pinnate leaves, 8-13 pairs. Leaflets opposite or subopposite, narrowly oblong, apex obtuse to acute, base rounded, margin entire; copious, simple hairs. S.
