1980 Sino-American Botanical Expedition to Western Hubei Province People’s Republic of China Rhus chinensis Miller Shennongjia Forest District (31°30^i; 110°30'E): W side of the Dangyang River, W-SW side of the road at km 44 frcm Xingshan Xian (Hsien); side canyon. Elevation ca. 725 meters. Small grove near edge of stream in rocky soil. Small tree ca. 4 m tall, with wide crown. Fruits becoming red; midveins rusty belcw, dark green above. 1980 Sino-Amer. Exped.
