Dry Lowland field, mostly Cenchrus ciliaris, with Panacum
maximum, Prosopis pallida, occasional Sida fallax. About 6 m
tall by 6 m across shrub with caesalpinioid flowers, 5 petals
clawed at base, upper petal w/ red spotting or entirely red. No
fruits noted. Single individual in open lowland grassland area.
Apparently naturalized, though possibly persisting. This species
is considered invasive in Australia, and is naturalized in Hawaii
and North America. It has scored a 20 on the HP-WRA.
