PLANTS OF THE HAWAIIAN ISLANDS BISH. MBK, NY, SING, US FABACEAE HAWAIIAN ISLANDS Kauai. Koloa District. National Tropical Botanical Garden, McBryde Garden in Lawai Valley; headquarters at 3530 Papalina Road, at NW end of research building. Tree 7 m high, trunk 30 cm diam, bark smooth, gray. Leaves dark green, glossy above. Sepals green tinged with red, petals, style and stamens white; flowers nocturnal, not fragrant (5 pm). Fruits brown. Cultivated (NTBG 820229).
