Field Char: Woody climber; bark dark bm,
slightly fissured; lvs med dull gm both
surfaces, ferruginous hairs; unopened buds with
rust-bm hairs; petals yellow (some with red
spots on upper surface).
Notes: Apparently infrequent in this area, one
sighting only.
Locality: Morobe province; Herzog Mts., newly
opened logging track above Gabensis.
Habitat: Lowland regrowth along an intermittent
streambed.
