POHNPEI: Sokehs District, lower slopes of Sokehs Rock (Paipata), just west of
Danipei village. Secondary wet forest, canopy with Calophyllum inophyllum,
Cynometra ramiflora, Reus prolixa, Artocarpus altilis, Hibiscus tiliaceus,
Adananthera pavonina, understory with Randanus patina, Aglaia, many ferns.
Tree 8 m tall, trunk 10 cm dbh, without adventitious roots. Fruits green
ripening orange. Common locally. Vernacular name: nihn.
