Habit etc. *pree 40 ’, II4." d.b.h.o.b., poor form, +
rounded crown, single stem. Bark very dark grey, almost
black, rough, irregular long, fissures, berk of branches
smoother, lighter grey with long, strands of darker old berk.
Slash OB, up to 1*5 cms., grey-brown, I& maroon-red, 1 cm. Il>
exudes orange droplets gum. Note different sizes leaflets;
diseased pods. In fr. Know-thoms on bole & branches.
Habitat Growing on dry exposed northern hill slopeonn
very shallow sandy soil on the steep side (almos- cliff) in
poor open degraded Kirkia thicket, with GyrocarpusT Terminalis
prunoides, Kirkia acuminata, Comiphora mollis, Diospyros
quiioense, Gardenia resiniflua etc.
