Canopy tree; height 80 ft., bole 40 ft., d.b.h. 27 ins. Bark grey-brown, slightly fissured, almost completely covered by lenticels in predominately horizontal rows; inner bark deep red. Blaze red, shading to pink, rather thick. Sapwood cream; heartwood pink. Slightly sticky clear exudate, becoming milky on exposure. Attracting small fly-like Diptera. Leaves green on upper surface; light green on lower surface, reticulation Rare, prominent. Petals dull cream to pink with dull pink nervation. Fruit light green to jy^y.pw green.
