  • Description

    Shrub 2-3 m high, stems strict recurvingly branched, towards the top, green, densely beset with sharp black prickles; leaves flat with recurved tips, deeper green above, submembranous; flowers odorless, with green persistent calyx and white deciduous corolla, berries hanging red, rather bitter to taste, ovary green, filaments whitish, anthers brown (at least in age).
