Large tree, about 30 ®* tall. DBH.t +
40 cm.,about 15 m. branchless. Outer
bark rather smooth, grey. Living bark
9 mm. in diam.,brown-red. Hearth wood "r-
very hard, brownish-red. Young leaves
reddish.Sepals $,pale brownish-green.
Petals 5, very pale greenish-white with
pale reddish stripes outside. Stamens
many fused at the very base.Leaves
jtktcx leathery, slightly glossy,medium
green above, much paler green beneath.
A bit of sticky pale blood red juice
from the cambial zone.
