Cobble/gravel bar and heavily eroding shale river bank at base of steep slope. Growing with Amsonia hubrichtii, Justicia americana, Physalis angulata, Panicum virgatum, Diodia virginiana, Ipomoea lacunosa, Lespedeza cuneata, Chasmanthium latifolium & Heliotropium indicum.

Description
Two plants observed along 0.1 mi. of river. Fresh corollas purple. Plants with numerous stems each, forming dense clumps.
