    Rocky scour prairies alongside and elevated above the active river channel. Growing with Diospyros virginiana, Campsis radicans, Trachelospermum difforme, Amorpha fruticosa, Liquidambar styraciflua, Pycnanthemum tenuifolium, Cephalanthus occidentalis, Boltonia diffusa, Lespdeza cuneata, Liatris pycnostachya & Croeopsis tripteris.
