Shennongjia Forest District (31°30'N; 110°30/E):
vicinity of Muycqping Forest Brigade on
the SE side, of the watershed divide
between the Chang Jiang (Yangtse) and
Han Jiang rivers near km 73 from
Xingshan Xian. Elevation 1450-1600 m.
Cut-over Fagus-Quercus-Betula forest
on steep slopes. SE exposure. Shaded
forest margins. Dense shrub with
habit of Rosa multiflora, to ca. 2 m
tall. Hips orange.
