Field Char: Tree 25 m tall, dbh 30 cm, bark
whitish-gray, slash red-brown, with strong but
not unpleasant aromatic smell. Fruits light
green, 1-seeded, sliced fruit and cut root with
similar aromatic smell.
Locality: Palawan: Brooke’s Point, Addison
Peak, southern slope.
Habitat: Semi-evergreen primary forest on steep
slope with granitic boulders.
