Tree 20 m tall, dbh 35 cm; bark deep brown, smooth and with small patches of scars; slash light brown; fruits green, turning red then blackish red, pulp juice red. Stripped bark emits a strong, sweetish & pleasant aromatic smell. Infrequent at this site. Locality: Vietnam, Ninh Binh Province, Nho Quan District. Habitat: Cue Phuong National Park. Forest around Bong Guesthouse (Helipad). Remnants of forest. Site No: CP20 105°35.35’N 2GD21.00'E 385m Collector: D. D. Soejarto and N.M.
