FLORA OF TANZANIA Lis Ellemann 796 Typhaceae Typha domingensis Pers. ARUSHA. Ngorongoro Conservation Area, along Embaruwai river in swamp. Information given by Lepilal ole Nakuroi and William ole Seki, Irking'onde-agegroup. (35° 16' E 3° 14' S). Alt. 1600 m. Aug 08, 1993 2,5 m high herb, dominating an area in the swamp. Maasai name: esere Seeds and steem are cheewed by children, while tende in May-June. Used as spear by children to play with. Herbarium of the University of Aarhus, Denmark (AAU) 04776283
