Shennongjia Forest District (Sl^O'N; 110°30'E):
Zhushanyazi pass on the western side
of the Dajiuhu basin. Elevation
ca. 1780 meters. Wet fen, formerly
lake basin, seasonally flooded.
Raised areas of Quercus-Crataegus-
Viburnum. Small tree 4-5 m tall; fruits
turning red« Common in this area.
