of first pass N of Batang. 30°13'31"N, 99°14'11ME; 3430 m. Shrub
thicket (Rosa, Berberis, Quercus) and interspersed grassy areas.
Forest above ravine. Shrub 4.5 m tall; leaves adaxially dark green,
abaxially lighter green; fruit green, turning red.
