Field Char: Tree 10 m tall, dbh 20 cm. Bark gray,
slash dark brown. Fruits yellow, turning red,
then black, mesocarp pulpy, exocarp shiny.
Locality: Luzon: Aurora Prov., Baler Municip.,
Bgy. Cemento, foot of forest-covered hills
overlooking die sea, on gravel road c. 8 km
from Baler.
Habitat: Remnants of forest near river, edge of
cultivated land with manioc,
pineapple, papaya, etc.
