Don subsp. strigosa (Rehder) MoClintock Shennongjia Forest District (31°30'N; 110°30'E): Laojunshan Yacwan canyon on the W side of the Jiuchong River ca. 1 km S of Mucheng. Elevation 1000-1250 meters. NE exposure; steep, disturbed slope. Erect shrub to ca. 3 meters tall. Sterile flowers white, fertile flowers lavender. 1980 Sino-Amer. Exped.
