Hospital garden lawn in partial shade to full sun. In well-drained soil of
sandstone loam. Native and common. Grassland, with Cynodon dactylon,
Medicago sp., Lactuca capensis.
Annual herb of 2 cm high. Simple leaves opposite, glabrous, leaf margins
entire. Stipules awl-shaped, membranous, paired. Solitary, calyx with apical
