General vegetation of region is caatinga on mountainous terrain. This number growing on mud of a pond that is drying up. The pond had formed because roadfill had dammed a brook course.

Creeping herb. Rays white; disk flower corolla white, stigma yellow, anthers dark brown. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
