Bobiri Forest Reserve. 6°38’N, 1°17’W. Moist semi-deciduous forest with many lianas. Humus of topsoil up to 20cm deep. Avg.of 1500mm/y rain. Medium-sized tree, 25m tall. Often fluted at base, sometimes with small buttresses. Round, straight bole. Twigs ridged. Very hard, brittle, smooth bark. Slash cream-colored to yellow.
