Sierra del Halo, near a lumber road leaving the Colima highway 7
miles south-southwest of TecalitUn and extending southeasterly
toward San Isidro; steep slopes in oak forest, in red clay soil 2
miles from the highway, elevation ca. 1400 m.
Abundant, but very scattered, the plants
occurring singly.
Flowers rotate, white with purple radiate
lines alternating with stamens; corolla
lobes individually inrolled before noon#
