1980 Sino-American Botanical Expedition to Western Hubei Province People’s Republic of China Neolitsea confertifolia (Hems ley) Merrill Shennongjia Forest District (31°3(KN; 110°30/E): vicinity of Qiujiaping. Elevation 1440-1650 meters. On steep slopes in nature mixed deciduous-broad leaved evergreen-coniferous forest. Shrub ca. 2.5 m tall. TVigs and leaves fragrant.
