Sdge of forest in full shade on steep bank;
shrub 1*5 m. tall; flowers yellowish on re-
curved pedicels, the corolla lobes recurved;
fruits cherry-red, held above foliage on
erect pedicels; calyx with reddish hairs.
Evergreen tropical moist forest formations and secondary growth along
the road between BriBri and. Bratsi and along the Rio Sixaola. Limon
Province. 9° 35' N. X 82° 53’0/10-50 m. altitude.
