Mixed Dipterocarp forest, associates include: Shorea,
Hopea, Myristica, Elaeocarpaceae. Red Clay soil.
Morphology:
Small tree 7 m tall, 8 cm dbh. Outer bark dark pinkish-
brown, inner bark light brown. Wood cream. Leaves shiny
above, whitish green beneath. Cupule covered by brown
indumentum. Fruit pale yellow. Newly disturbed primary
forest, open area.
