collection sequence 11595-11611; 10 m subcanopy tree; slash straw, not
aromatic, wood pale yellow-brown; twigs terete, brown; leaves spiral, dry-
papery, adaxial surface very dark dull green, abaxially blue-green glaucous;
venation scalariform; petiole colored like the twigs; inflorescence axillary or
infrafoliar; 4 flowers per inflorescence, globose when unopened; inflorescence
bracts concave, 2+2 decussate; tepals yellow; stamens cream or yellow,
anthers with operculate dehiscence.
