Field Chars.: Tree 15 m tall, dbh 30 cm, bark dark gray, Finely furrowed slash
light brown, turning blood-red, sap blood-red, somewhat clear frts
yellow to brown, aril deep red, seed black, hard, pericarp fleshy
somewhat sour and puckery in taste, sap from frt clear, somewhat
sticky.
Locality: Luzon: Bataan Prov., Municip. Morong, off the newly opened forest
road to Mt. Natib Peak and Dilupihan, Morong R. valley.
Habitat: Submontane tropical rainforest, slightly disturbed by illegal logging
operation.	Alt:	400-600 m.
Collectors): D.D. Soejarto, O. Fernando and D.A Madulid.
