By: Field Char: Shrub/1 reelet; petioles/stem tips w/ red-brown hair#; berries & pedicels orange-yellow; FR sparsely hairy, single seeded, endosperm ruminate & yellow, sepals persistent on developing infructescences. Notes: Species in understory. Additions detailed descriptions are at the Field Museum, Chicago. Locality: Morobe Province: between the Busu and Sankwep Rivers, near Gwabadik. Habitat: Mature lowland forest, on banks of a shallow stream bed. 360 m, 6°33’S X 146°59’E W.
