Mixed Dipterocarp forest, associates include: Shorea,
Lauaraceae, Sapotaceae, Myrtaceae. Red clay soil.
Morphology:
Tree 6 m tall, 6 cm dbh. Outer bark dark reddish-brown,
thin, flaking easily. Inner bark light reddish-brown. Wood
aromatic. Leaves coriaceous, prominently ribbed beneath,
dull lime green. Rachis pinkish-yellow. Rower bud light
cream-yellow.
