ferruginous-pubescent;; leaves dry-textured, firm, conspicuously
areolate, adaxal surface medium green and mottled, abaxially
glaucous; veins impresssed above, costa hairy both sides, lateral
nerves 3-5 pairs; inflorescence axillary, 3 cm long, narrow-
paniculiform, ail axes crispate-hairy; flowers bisexual, yellow;
tepals 6, adaxially villous; fertile stamens 9, anthers 2-thecate,
dehiscing by Saps; outer 2 staminal whorls opposite the tepals,
anthers introrse; next whorl extrorse, each stamen flanked by 2
stalked glands; final wfiorl staminodial, arrowhead-shaped; ovary
elongate and glabrous; fruits ovoid-ellipsoid, 16 mm x 11 mm,
epicarp green turning red.
