rainforest taxa, dense multilayer canopy, shrubby understory, many
ferns. Canopy tree. Lvs dry, stiff, dull med grn x lt grn w. brown
hairs. Sparsely foliated, sparingly branched. Bark thin, difficult to
peel. Perianth yellow in 2 whorls of 3. Common; many fertile.
