Bali Timur; Karangasem. S slope of Gunung Agung,
1-2 km SW of Besakih.
750 m 8°21S; 115°26E. Disturbed forest in ravines,
canopy 15-25 m tall, species-rich; dominants include
Elaeocarpus, Litsea, Viburnum.
Understory tree 5 m tall, branching above and below;
bole crooked, cylindrical, 8 cm dbh; corolla whitish,
stamens yellow.
Local name: "teju"
