Field Char. Tree 20-25 m tall, dbh 40 cm; bark gray-brown,
cracked into rectangular pieces, slash red-brown,
faintly aromatic; flower buds dark green; crushed
leaves aromatic. Common.
Locality: Vietnam, Ninh Binh Province, Nho Quan District.
Habitat: Cue Phuong National Park. Slope northeast of Bong.
Tall primary forest on a slope with thick soil cover and occasional
exposed limestone rock. 400-480 m altitude.
