forest station, E side of Gaoligong Shan.

E facing 10-30° slope.
Subtropical evergreen broadleaf forest.
Disturbed by felling.
Subtropical evergreen broadleaf forest disturbed by
fire and fellong. Dominated by Lithocarpus,
Castanopsis, Rhododendron, Bamboo, Symplocos.
Tree ca. 20 m tall. Petals pink abaxially white
adaxially. Young fruit green. Rare.
Growing at forest edge near clearing, in sun.
In loam on slate.
