Primary evergreen forest. Strong woody climber, stem 5 cm diameter at the base, bark slightly roughened, greyish, with white sap, younger stems with yellow sap; inflorescence on tubercles near ground level, inflorescence axes and all sepals light yellow-greenish, petals white, anther locules light yellow, connective and filaments whitish;] leaves mostly in the canopy, blades dark green above, light green underneath.
