Extensive quartzite and sandstone talus with sparse Betula and Pinus (P. pungens, P. strobus) surrounded by mixed pine (P. pungens, P. rigida, P. strobus) – hardwood (Acer rubrum, B. lenta, Carya, Nyssa, Sassafras, Quercus prinus) forest with Kalmia-Vaccinium understory extending into edges of talus. on Pinus log.
